NEW INTELLISENSOR® KITS FOR STEWART-WARNER BRAND DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

EL PASO, TX.--March, 2000. Maxima Technologies, the group enterprise that includes the Stewart Warner brand of vehicle instruments and accessories, has announced a new IntelliSensor® Liquid Measuring System (LMS) program for its Stewart Warner-brand distribution network. A point-of-purchase display has been released to include a bundle of eight units for fuel tank depths ranging from 11" to 26". Special pricing is being extended to eligible distributors who purchase these displays.

Of particular note, the IntelliSensor® LMS is a past recipient of OEM Off-Highway Magazine's OEMmie Award. Major customers now include Advance Mixer, Cameco, Case Corporation, Dina Camiones, Kovatch Mobile Equipment (KME), Ingersoll-Rand (Shippensburg), Pierce Manufacturing, Svedala (Dynapac) and Tigercat (among others).

The unit features no moving parts and it may be specified in standard lengths ranging from approximately 10" to over 50". It works in hydrocarbon-based liquids (e.g. diesel fuel or hydraulic fluid) and fits into a standard SAE 5-hole type flange opening for easy installation and/or field replacement. The IntelliSensor® draws power from the fuel gauge and it can be configured in either a standard analog format or voltage-output version to interface with today's electronics systems. The unit has been extensively tested to the most rigorous off-highway and industrial standards. In addition to optional flange types, the unit can be configured to include various integrated fuel pick-up and return tubes and tubes for delivering auxiliary heat for applications in northern climates.

The IntelliSensor® is an ideal form, fit and function replacement for conventional mechanical, float-arm style fuel senders. Customers may easily install units in the same 5-hole flange and use exiting wires to connect the sensor to the fuel gauge. The system is packaged in an extruded aluminum housing that is "self-baffled" to negate the effects of disruptive fuel slosh in the tank. In addition, the unit features hermetically sealed SMT electronics for long-term protection.

Stewart Warner is a high-quality brand produced by Maxima Technologies.
