CHICAGO -- A complete line of fuel and pressure senders featuring an integrated 150 Series MetriPakTM Connector that significantly enhances unit reliability and ease of installation has been developed by Stewart Warner Instrument Corporation.

Stewart Warner, which supplied the speedometer for Henry Ford's first automobile, today provides turnkey operations for the development, manufacture and distribution of innovative gauges, sensors, instrument clusters and electronic information display systems.

The wiring termination for conventional fuel and pressure senders is exposed to dirt, water and other contaminants. The use of the weather-tight MetriPak Connector eliminates the potential for product failure caused by the senders' harsh operating environments. Stewart Warner also utilizes thick-film technology, which offers up to 10 times the life of wire wound resistors, ensures excellent electrical resistance with changing fuel and pressure levels and superior consistency of response.

Stewart Warner fuel senders also feature an adjustable-length bracket for varying tank depths; a steel bracket with zinc dichromate finish for maximum strength and resistance to corrosion, shock and vibration; SAE five star flange offering universal mounting capability; and a .091 galvanized steel float arm guaranteed to hold its shape to maintain calibration, even in high-vibration applications. Stewart Warner senders are available for tank depths ranging from 4 inches to 36 inches. Resistance matches include 90 ohm standard, 240 ohm standard and 30 ohm standard, or resistance can be tailored to the shape of the tank.

Stewart Warner pressure senders are available to drive air, oil and fuel pressure gauge functions. Features include high-temperature, chemical-resistant diaphragm and gasket; stainless steel etched and tapered beam springs to deliver maximum cycle life; and floating surge suppressor to enhance life and prevent pointer fluttering. Additional models are available to drive two individual gauges.
